As generative media models advance in realism, maintaining clarity around content provenance and disclosure is vital for media integrity and audience trust. This document outlines BeHooked’s policies regarding synthetic content labeling, watermarking standards, and provenance metadata.
Provenance & Cryptographic Watermarking
Outputs generated across BeHooked studios (Image, Video, Audio) adhere to industry-standard content authenticity standards:
- C2PA Metadata Embedding: Where supported by underlying model engines, generated outputs include cryptographic C2PA metadata indicating the generation software, engine timestamp, and modification history.
- Invisible Watermarking: Select high-fidelity image and video models integrate invisible spatial watermarks to assist in synthetic media detection and prevent unauthorized deepfake attribution.
Disclosure Requirements for Users
While BeHooked provides tools for commercial and creative expression, users must adhere to transparency guidelines based on media distribution context:
1. Editorial & Commercial Content
When deploying synthetic avatars, voice clones, or photorealistic scenes in news, documentaries, commercial advertisements, or political campaigns, clear visual or auditory disclosure (e.g., “Generated with AI” or “Voice avatar synthesized via BeHooked”) is strongly recommended and may be required by local law (such as the EU AI Act).
2. Deceptive Representation
Hiding or deliberately stripping provenance metadata to deceive viewers regarding real-world events, court testimony, or emergency response scenarios is a direct violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
Synthetic Voice & Speech Standards
Audio synthesized via BeHooked’s voice generation pipeline includes embedded ultrasonic acoustic signatures to differentiate generated speech from live microphone recordings in automated verification pipelines.
