The simple engine takes one decision. Advanced opens nineteen Topaz video models behind the same upload, and renders only the controls the model you picked actually takes.

Multiplies both dimensions. 2× is the default. Factor 2 on a 1080p source is the 1080p tier — only above 2× do you reach 4K and above.

Does it work on AI-generated clips?
Yes. The advanced engine has a creativity control precisely for sources with no real detail to recover, where the model has to synthesise texture rather than restore it.
Does it add frames or smooth motion?
No. Frame interpolation is deliberately not offered. The 30 and 60 setting is the rate the clip is rendered at and a price band, not a request to invent frames between the ones you shot.
How long does a video take?
Between five and ten minutes for most clips. Image runs finish faster, in roughly two to five minutes.
What decides the price?
On the simple engine, the resolution the output lands in: 31 credits at 720p, 62 at 1080p and 245 at 4K and above, flat per job. On the advanced engine video is charged per second, from 30.625 credits a second at 720p and 30fps up to 490 at 4K and above at 60fps — so the frame rate moves the tier as well as the resolution.
Why does the advanced engine wait before showing a price?
Because it is billed per second, an advanced video job cannot be submitted until the clip's duration has been read. Showing no price is better than showing a misleading zero.
What happens if a run fails?
Failed runs are refunded, so a job that does not come back does not cost you credits.
What is the difference between standard and advanced?
They are two different backends. Standard takes a scale factor and charges a flat rate per job.
