FAQs

Questions, answered.

What people ask when they are choosing between Captions and BeHooked.

Is BeHooked a good Captions alternative?

For generation, yes; for editing phone footage, Captions is the closer fit. BeHooked has no timeline editor and is built for generating video, images and audio across many models.

Is Captions now called Mirage?

The company is Mirage and the app is still Captions. Mirage also offers Tesseract for AI agents and developer APIs.

Can BeHooked add captions like Captions does?

Yes. BeHooked's Dynamic Captions transcribes a video, lets you edit the words and pick a style. Captions offers more caption templates and editing inside the same app.

Which is cheaper, Captions or BeHooked?

Captions is cheaper to try, because it has a free plan and BeHooked does not. Captions' Max plan is $24.99 a month on iOS; BeHooked's Pro is ₹2,900 a month, with credit packs from ₹500.

What can I actually do with what I generate, including commercial use?

You own the outputs you generate, to the extent they can be owned, and you may use them commercially. We claim no licence over them beyond what is needed to store them in your library and deliver them to you. Note that the legal status of machine-generated output is unsettled in some jurisdictions — we can grant everything we hold, but not rights that nobody holds.
