Is BeHooked a good Descript alternative?

Only if your work is generation rather than editing. Descript is built to edit recorded footage by its transcript; BeHooked generates video, images and audio across many models and has no multi-track timeline, so many people use an editor alongside it.

Can BeHooked edit a podcast by transcript like Descript?

No. BeHooked does not edit by transcript. Its Podcast Clipper proposes vertical clips for you to approve, and Dynamic Captions transcribes and styles captions, but the full edit of an episode is Descript's territory.

We claim no licence over them beyond what is needed to store them in your library and deliver them to you. Note that the legal status of machine-generated output is unsettled in some jurisdictions — we can grant everything we hold, but not rights that nobody holds.
